Day 8

Today we went through Nevada. On the border we were able to see the Hoover Dam. And as exciting as that sounds the day didn't start out so swell. My little sister got very sick and has been miserable since 7:00 this morning. We all hope she feels better, Expecially because we have a ten hour drive tomorrow.
The drive was fabulous dispite all the hardships. There were mountains all around us. And as a plus I finally got a picture of me with a state welcome sign. After we stopped in Las Vegas and I was very excited to be here. But as they say: "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." Enough said.

     Day 7

The Grand Canyon was absolutely beautiful. We took a full day tour and every little thing we saw was worth it. I took many pictures but none of them compare to the actual thing. We saw Native American trading posts, different architecture, and mountain lion crossing signs while we were there.
The day was perfect until the end. I came down with a terrible migrane, heat exhaustion, and sunburn. The headache was so bad that I couldn't be in the light, make sudden movements, and got very confused. But luckily that passed with a good long sleep. We are off to Las Vegas, Nevada tomorrow.

   Day 6

Sorry about not being up to date with the blog but we were camping and there is no internet. New Mexico to Arizona. Short and sweet. They mainly look the same while driving through but in a way completely different. After about 15 minutes of driving we witnessed two men being arrested on the side of the road. What an exciting start. Then we were stalked. Yep I said it. We had stopped at a rest stop and then about 5 hours and a rest stop later, he was at the same subway. Coincedence, I think not.
To my surprise the cabin was actually freezing during the night. I am very thankful. In Arizona we stopped to see the meteor crater. It was impressive. And all during the car ride all we heard from the kids was asking if the cat was dead. Delightful. Tomorrows Grand Canyon!
